GMG’s technical team concluded, last October, the implementation process of a graphic arts industry in Terrassa, fully carrying out the project, construction management and Project Management. The process, carried out for 1 year, focused on the total renovation of a 5,000m2 industrial building in order to provide it, in terms of work and facilities, with the appropriate conditions for its operation. With actions in civil works aimed at the total rehabilitation of the roof and the pavement, at the execution of all the sectorizations, at the enabling of a production area, a storage area and expeditions, plus an administrative section of 700m2, the more than 70 workers of the center, now develop their activity with exceptional working conditions. Specifically at the facilities level, the projects and execution of the medium and low voltage networks (transformer station included), compressed air, lighting, air conditioning, industrial refrigeration, fire protection, controlled ventilation, VOC aspiration were implemented in ATEX environments, emission control, storage of chemical products (EPQ), sanitation and plumbing. The GMG team, committed to efficiency and energy saving, has also developed the photovoltaic solar energy project, pending execution, with an installed power of 400 kWp, which energy level will involve covering 70% of the annual electricity demand of the entire industry. With a systematic economic control, it has been achieved that the impact of the implementation, including the modifications implemented during the execution, is well below the usual ratios for the magnitude of the works carried out.
