In 2004, GMG drew up the Partial Plan for Can Colomer. At the time, it was the most important urban planning commission we had ever received and we started working very excitedly on this new sector of developable land planned by the Terrassa POUM in the north-west of the city. Aside from some 4,452 homes of which 20% would be protected under the general regime and another 10% at a negotiated price, the sector expected to allocate 70% of its surface to public land with 10% equipment and 38 % of open spaces (of a total of 47Ha). The processing was a complete success for a partial Plan of this importance, which was finally approved in July 2006. Years later, in May 2008, we received the approval of the rezoning and urbanization project and the following July we started the urbanization works of the entire sector. Unfortunately, the economic crisis suffered by the real estate sector stopped the works in September 2010, which resumed in October 2011 to complete only the first phase of urbanization of the Rellinars road. Well, 17 years after starting the Partial Plan, last April we completed the first order for a residential building, promoted by the Sorigu\u00e9 Group. It is a block of 58 homes, 8 of them protected, with 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms with large outdoor terraces, 91 parking spaces, 58 storage rooms and a garden community area with a swimming pool and children’s games. Its surface built above ground distributed in PB + 5 is 8,400 m2 and below ground of 3,600 m2 in two basement levels. It has achieved energy rating A thanks to the high degree of insulation of the building and the efficiency of the air conditioning and domestic hot water production systems by aerothermia. It is worth noting the excellent finishes of the homes, which undoubtedly set the bar very high in terms of typologies and qualities, for future developments that want to be developed in the Can Colomer sector. The works have been carried out very efficiently within the deadlines set by Sorigu\u00e9 and the commercialization of the promotion has been a sales success despite having coincided with the exceptional situation caused by the pandemic.
